Kogi In Focus A Glance at Kogi State Newmap part 1

African women in history have always strived to be the best at what they do and it's no doubt Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto have been striving and is delivering positively the position she is saddled with.

I wish to commend Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello who have been gender friendly by appointing capacity women into various position of his government.

According to Prof. Bolanle Awe, "The task of piecing together women’s history has been difficult. So acute is the dearth of information, particularly documentary evidence, that some of the outstanding women in history have been mistaken for men and their achievements, attributed to male rulers!"

Gov. Yahaya Bello have turned this narrative by appointing many women into his cabinet across the state.

Gov. Yahaya Bello-led government has shown uncommon zeal in pursuing an industrialisation roadmap that is transforming the state into an investment heaven for big-ticket projects and the Amazon Lady Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto has been doing wonderfully well in tackling the menace of gully erosion that has been affecting some part of Kogi State.

Kogi NEWMAP is saddled with the responsibility of tackling the hydra-headed monster called gully erosion in selected communities in the State.

In addition to its task of gully control, it equally collaborates with the State Ministry of Environment in the area of waste management though it's DRAINAGE DESILTING program, as well as the distribution of giant waste Receptacles in order to tackle the challenge of indiscriminate dumping of solid waste in drainage.

Additionally, as a way of tackling desertification, and erosion, the Kogi NEWMAP SPMU has successfully embarked on the Afforestation of 40Ha of Forest Reserves in the 3 Senatorial Districts of the State. They are Oinyin in Kabba, Osara in Adavi, and Okura Forest Reserves. These Forest Reserves have in place Solar Powered Boreholes, which service the reserves, as well as adjoining communities. They have also been handed over to the State Ministry of Environment.
